The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick gives the strength and support of the Holy Spirit to anyone struggling with a serious illness or who have grown weak under the burden of years. When there is danger of death, this sacrament is sometimes referred to as "Last Rites," though one need not be dying to receive it. The anointing removes all sin, which is especially helpful for those who are too ill to confess their sins.
