SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH
COVINA, CALIFORNIA
EASTER 2022
Dear Parish Family,
The spiritual dimensions of Lent inspire us to gratitude for all that we have received from God and to a willingness to share with others, to serve those less fortunate than ourselves. This spiritual reality prepares us for the celebration of the ultimate willingness to share everything: the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lent directs our hearts, souls, bodies and minds towards Holy Week. Lent opens our lives to understand the Lord’s passion, to fathom his death and to celebrate his resurrection. Our ministry is directed toward sharing in
the Great Easter Vigil of Holy Saturday night, the First Celebration of Easter, a celebration continued on Easter Sunday. Our ministry and service offers us new life in the Risen Lord.
He is risen!!! ALLELUIA!!! We are raised up in him!!! ALLELUIA!!!
The Easter season renews us in the promise of new life. Each Sunday of Easter we rejoice in the assurance of everlasting life and hunger for the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost so that our new life may be filled with the Spirit to proclaim, in one voice, to all the world, that the Lord is risen, Alleluia!!!
The priests, deacons and staff of our parish wish you all a very blessed and joyful Easter. You are in our prayers and we ask for the gift of your prayers that we may all serve the Risen Lord together in word and deed.
Asking God to bless you, we are your sisters & brothers in Christ,
Father William T. Easterling, Pastor
Together with all the Priests, Deacons also
our Lay Leadership and Parish Staff
